ProductsHelioDynamics has developed the first commercial concentrating technology for providing:The HD series of solar concentrators use mirror banks which concentrate solar radiation onto a receiver unit to produce heat or a combination of heat-and-power. Each mirror bank moves separately to accurately track the sun during the day and can fold over to protect itself automatically at night and in case of inclement weather. The receiver unit is a stationery band of devices set at the focus of the mirrors which converts the solar radiation into useful electrical and/or thermal energy. All systems meet the most stringent safety and building code requirements for a 30-year low-maintenance life in aggressive, sand, dust and salt environments. As well as incorporating a hail protection system and resistance to 210 km/hr (135 mph) winds. Every installation is monitored by remote telemetry making performance evaluation and fault identification readily accessible. The systems are scalable to drive the installation requirement and the modular design facilitates repair-by-replacement best practice.
